Gera, Abraham and Mia in "Various views on truth"
When out on an errand with Wilson, Gera has a walker coming after her and has to take refuge inside the Walmart. Here she meets Abraham who is also on a supply run. He aims his gun at her but when he sees her shaking with fear and realizes that there is a walker outside, he hides with her behind the shelfs and they talk while they wait for the entrance to clear. Suddenly they hear gunshots and Mia runs into the store, after having shot the walker. Mia and Gera obviously recognize each other and Abraham learns that they know each other quite well. He stands back while they talk. Mia is suspicious, asking Gera if she was send to find Mia. Gera denies this and asks in return why Mia ran away. Abraham tells the surprised Gera that Mia "is with me now... not with that crazy ass guy from the jailhouse". Gera asks him what Mia has been telling him and she states that Blake is not crazy. On that Mia tries to convince Gera again that Blake is dangerous. When Abraham agrees with Mia: "well Mr. patchy eye gave us a nice and friendly visit a couple of days ago, and I'm pretty sure that derranged fucktard is crazy as bats hit"he remarks with his strong south Luisiana accent - Gera challenges them, blurting out that Mia was supposedly bitten. Abraham is bewildered, Mia gets angry that Gera told her secret. She shouts at Gera about the zombie in the lab, that Blake is lying to them all. Gera tries to stay calm, replays that they know about the specimen and that there is nothing wrong about that. Mia then loses her temper: "Sure there isn't... Somebody cuts the heads of survivors and keeps them in jars and keeps some poor dead girl tied up in a secret room and I'm the one who's crazy? He's sick Gera...Sick....FUCKING SICK!" Gera sighs:" he keeps them in jars for Yvaine, she needs the tissue to work on a vaccine. Calm down Mia please. We all...have changed, and we all lost out mind a little bit, but he is trying to find a way out of the misery we are in Mia...he at least...is trying"
Mia shoves Gera"Don't talk to me like that. its sick. He's sick and everyone at that prison is SICK! he came looking for me, Gera he found me and if it wasn't for the walkers I would just be another head in a jar. He needs the world the way it is because he gets to control people... people like you…!" This is too much for Gera and as the entrance is clear, she asks Abraham to look after Mia and leaves, confused and uncertain about the truth of what has been said.
Mia's fate
A week later Mia wakes one night to the sound of whispers. She slowly turns around to find two strangers in her safe house munching on food she had spent days searching for. She sits up and lifts her dad’s revolver from under her pillow and shouts”
What the fuck do you think you’re doing in here?! Put the food down and get out before I kill you both.
*The older gentleman continues chewing as the younger one stands up with his hands held out defensively*
Woah now aint no need for violence little missy. Me and my paw here we was just on our way up north and we saw yer light on and thought we would rest for the night. *He approaches her slowly* We swear before we leave we’ll get you some more food.
*Mia backs up against the wall holding the gun in her shaking hand* Back the fuck off! I said get out! You’re lucky I don’t blast you both!
*The young man grins and stops at the bed side tilting his head back to the other man, still chewing, who gives him a nod. In an instant Mia feels the sting of a fist on the side of her head that makes here fall out of the bed and drop her gun. She desperately and dizzily crawls across the floor as the young man laughs, swinging several more punches and kicks that leave Mia gasping and wheezing for air.*
Enough… *The old man speaks up and puts down the tin of beans and approaches Mia. He kneels down and wraps her hair in his hand lifting her face up to his* It ain’t nice pointing guns at strangers. Another to threaten their lives after they apologise. *He looks up at the younger man who is panting like an animal and then back at Mia who is dazed and spitting blood onto the floor* Now I recon you can make it up to my boy here. *He stands up slowly letting Mia drop back to the ground* You do what a woman’s supposed to do.
*Mia rolls onto her back as the young man approaches. She takes a deep breath and spits blood in his face and he silences her with a backhand.*
*the following day Mia awakens on the floor of her safe house. Her food is all eaten and her clothes torn and tattered. She tries to move her arms but soon realises she is tied to a chair. She looks around and sees the two men out on the balcony drinking the last of her milk. She strains against the rope and feels that whichever of the two tied her to the chair didn’t take her missing hand into consideration. She pulled and strained as hard as possible and finally her arm slips free. This gave the rope enough slack to let her hand slip free. The two men turn and spot her. Mia twists her body frantically causing the chair to stumble and fall near her father’s gun. The two men rush inside towards their weapons. The older Man reaches for his and hears the firing of a shot and turns to see his son collapse at his feet with a hole in his throat. He looks up at her and lifts his hands* Woah woah little lady now just calm down we can come to some sort of arrangement aint nobody else gotta get hurt.
*Mia’s hand stops shaking and she exhales slowly* You’re right… This won’t hurt a bit. *She fires hitting the man between his eyes killing him instantly.
*Days pass and Mia finally finds new clothes and throws the men over her balcony for the walkers to deal with. It’s in the store she discovers that the shelves and food have been ransacked and all she can find is a bag of stale potato chips. Her stomach groans as the days pass and she finds herself too weak to go out. Slipping in and out of consciousness could this be the end for Mia?*

Gera and Blake in "Living next door to Alice"
Gera has been quiet and withdrawn after that encounter with Mia and Abraham, and one day she pulls up the courage and confronts Blake with the things, Mia has told her about heads in jars being cut of innocent survivors and the bound girl hidden in his quarters. To her surprise, Blake is not denying it. He takes her and shows her the secret room behind his bed. He shows the shocked Gera the heads in the aquarium, and explains to her that they are not innocent survivors but the men who were responsible for the death of his daughter. He admits without regret that he has killed them with his bare hands, cut off their heads, and put them there. A small comfort to revenge his little girl. He then opens another door and presents Alice, his zombified daughter. Although horrified at first, Gera soon is watching compassionate and heartbroken when she sees how Blake sits opposite the bound little animated corpse, talking to her lovingly and gentle, his painful attempts to get some recognition from his zombified daughter naturally in vain. Gera, whose own fears about losing her baby all materialize in Blake is instantly touched deeply and it only intensifies her feeling for him. She even promises him that from now on, she will help him to look after Alice.
Culann, Ren and Gera in " Infectious memories"
Ren finds a man outside the gates and brings him inside. Him and Gera give him food and he tells his story.
Culann is from Texas originally. Father was retired military, first Cav out El Paso, he met his wife there. She was an army pilot. She was stationed over at Fort Benning. He continues that Amy, his wife was stationed over seas, Afghanistan, flying Galaxy's. She was real proud to do it too. We uh..." He hesitated, "had a girl..." He shakes his head. He swallows again and then continues. "She was with my mother-in-law in Atlanta while I was on a job for a few weeks when it all happened. By the time I got to them...neighborhood was over run. I went in anyway, cause I hat to know." He looked at them a bit haunted. "Anyway, they did not make it." Ren and Gera express their compassion, Culann smiles sardonically: "Yeah, well, I figure if I stay live. I keep their memory alive, and every person tell about Amy and Lauren will have them in their brain too, kind of like I am infecting people with my memory, kind of like I am replicating them in some way and they go on."
Both Ren and Gera take a liking to the new man instantly and he is shown a cell where he can stay.
Vintar, Puly and Jill in " Welcome to the nicest little camp in Shiner"
Jill rolls her eyes and steps back "Doesn't anyone know anything about basic hygiene, I mean it's only been.." she sighs and folds her arms "What's wrong with you?"
He shrugs some as he picked a flask out of his jacket as well, and took a swig. "Prisons got showers, cities got clean linens... S'bout it," he said, then looked over at the edge, "Flu, had it for almost two weeks, finally getting over it."
Jill nods, still keeping her distance "Town is full of walking dead, Prison is, well, I don't fancy becoming the new wife of a three hundred kilo man called 'Bubba'"
Puly raises his hand a bit, "To be fair...his name's Louie, down there...heh..." He then quickly pulls his hand up to his mouth, coughing again quite hard. "Gaah...if you're fixing for a place to stay, make yourself at home. Me and my friend ain't going nowhere fast, walkers get thicker up the road, and there ain't nothing down them.He looks around the makeshift camp, Vintar must have still been out moving supplies. "For now...our supplies ain't in camp, my friend must still be moving them."
Jill raises an eyebrow "you trust your friend?
Puly nods"You'd trust your kid with moving supplies, wouldn't ya?"
They then talk about how safe the camp actually is and Vintar comes back bringing the rest of their supplies from town. She then heads right back to her little command post. She drops her bags, and tucks herself into the firing position, to continue her vigil on the camp below.
Puly watches Vintar move back in, then looked over to Gillian, "Yeah, that's her... Vintar, She's...got vendetta against the prison below, thinks the folks are out to get anyone who leaves their group."
Vintar snorts quietly while she watched the tower.
Jill glances behind her "Probably best ,,"
Vintar introduces herself: Vintar, charmed... Welcome to Shiner's best camp so far.
Puly frowns a bit as Vintar's general attitude. "I'm Pulemetchik, or Puly as the locals call me. Forgot...to mention my name."
Jill curtsies "Most foks call me Jill." she puts on and extra flourish "I prefer to stay out of groups for now. Too much chance of.." she shrugs "bad things."
Puly nods quietly, then looked over to Vintar again. "No need to go into details, I know what you mean. Most groups are just that, groups of people. No law, no ethics. They just...do as they please."
Jill agrees "Sadly true. Too many people are dying because others, do as they please. The dead don't need to wipe us out. We're doing that ourselves"
Puly shoots another glance to Vintar after what Jill said, then nods. "Which is why we set up out here, away from the prison and the city scavengers... They got nice folks in their groups, but...they're heading down a slippery slope."
Jill turns on one heel to stare out across the town "Give it six months, Most of them won't be a problem anymore"
Puly: Not even a nuke can kill a cockroach, but your optimism is noted.
Jill chuckles and fiddles with her bag strap "Well, nice meeting you two..." she heads off towards the road
